Sarah was in her 99th year when she passed away peacefully with loved ones at her side at the CHSLD on Friday
July 4, 2025.
Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Dolly Watt, her husband Herb MacKenzie ,her son Gary, siblings and spouses Arnold (Jessie), Ida (Ted) and Dorothy (Ray). She is survived by her children Donald (Diane) Judy (Derrick) Terry, and daughter-in-law Maureen as well as grandchildren, great- grandchildren , and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She will forever be remembered as a hardworking, loving, caring and warm hearted woman whose legecy lives on in the generations of family she helped shape. Widowed at the age of 52 she devoted her entire life to her four children, their families, her church St. Pauls Anglican in Shigawake and the Anglican Church Women (A.C.W.)
She considered it an honour to serve as the president of the ACW for 35 years. Her involvement with the Church events, Harvest suppers and fund-raising was a true testament of her commitment to her church and community.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but there is comfort in knowing that she passed peacefully with only a little twitch of her shoulder at the end as her hand was taken by her loved ones waiting above for her to join them.
May she rest in Peace

Mrs Mackenzie did beautiful crochet work on many items that I bought at church sales. My sympathy to the family.
My heartfelt sympathies to the family. You were all blessed to have her in your midst for a wonderfully long life. The christening dress that my four children wore, and now my grandchildren have worn, was made by your mother Same for their four Christmas stockings. Cherished items made by loving hands. May the angels lead her in…and may she rest in eternal peace.
Mes plus sincères condoléances à la famille.
