It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Orlay Benwell of New Richmond, Quebec at the Manor on March 12, 2024 at the age of 95 years.
Predeceased by his parents William and Ines Benwell, his wife Betty Martin, brothers Reginald, Kenneth, Randolph, and Marvin.
He leaves beind his beloved daugther Elaine and nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A very special thank you to his niece Gail Martin for the excellent care he received.
The family will receive condolences at the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home in New Richmond, 221 Chemin Cyr, on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 starting at 1 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Ceremony will be held between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. If anyone wants to do a little Speech to contact Elaine Benwell by e-mail: znib2@cox.net.
Burial will follow at the St. Jules Cemetery afterwards.
Donations can be made in memory of Orlay Benwell to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Professional services have been entrusted to the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home Inc., a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des thanatologues du Quebec and by the Bureau de normalisation du Quebec.
The management and staff of HG Divsion offer their deepest condolences to the family and thank them for their trust.
