It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Williams in Chandler hospital at the age of 92 on December 9, 2021.
Predeceased by her parents Emmanuel and Mary Briand, brother Richard (Dick) Briand, her husband, Lester Williams and sons, Robert (Bob) Williams and Randy Williams.
She leaves behind her sister, Ella Beck, brother, Gary Briand; children: Auley, Connie, Hollie-Jean and Bradley; grandchildren: Nicholas, Ryan, Jonathan, Jordan, Shanna, Jasmine and Emily. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial will take place in the summer of 2022 at Saint James Anglican Church in Port Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint James Anglican Church in Port Daniel, Chandler Hospital, and the Hayes Bursary.
Thank you to the entire staff of Chandler hospital for the excellent care given to Mom over the past three months. Thank you to all of the family and friends who supported Mom and her children. Lois will sorely be missed on the hill and all who had the opportunity to have met her. She was a pillar in the community and well beyond and stood for everything related to family, friends, Shigawake and the Gaspe as a whole.
She was who you would want as a mother, a sister, a friend and a community leader ...
